心理学のデータと再現可能性
Psychological data and their reproducibility

Some methodological aspects on reproducibility of psychological data are discussed. Lowered reproducibility of psychological data can be yielded from misconduct of research, inadequate statistical methods, effects of uncontrolled latent variables, and low occurrence probability of studied phenomena itself. For validity of data and their analyses may be subject to these sources of irreproducibility, expected reproducibility level depends on theoretical and methodological characteristics of studied phenomena and related variables. Psychologists’ historical uneagerness for replication study, derived from demonstrational and anecdotal usage of psychological data, had been prevented psychologists until recently from consider the issues related to reproducibility. Some possible alternatives for psychologists addressing reproducibility issues are also discussed.

心理学におけるデータの再現可能性について，いくつかの方法論的側面から検討した。再現性の低さは研究方法の間違い，不適切な統計的分析，統制されない潜在変数の効果，そして研究される現象自体の低い生起確率によって引き起こされる。データや分析の妥当性はこうした非再現性の源泉によって異なるので，期待される再現性のレベルは研究される現象と，それと関連する変数の理論的方法論的特性によって変化する。心理学者が歴史的に追試に熱心でなかったことは心理学的データのデモンストレーション的・逸話的用法から生じていて，それが最近まで心理学者を再現性に関係する問題の検討から遠ざけていた。心理学が再現性の問題に対応していく際のいくつかの可能性についても議論した。
