といっても空港は市街地とは遠く離れているわけだが．
到着した第一声は「さむっ！」であった．到着前に一雨あったようなのだが，それにしても寒かった．去年も「猛暑だ」と７月に聞きかじった頭のままやってきたら15度でえらい目に遭ったわけだが，やはり今年もそうきやがったらしい．0時前に眠ったが，4時にはきっぱり覚醒するいつものパタン．まあ，体調は悪くない．朝ごはんは昨日のミュンヘン行きのBAでもらったサンドイッチ（チキン＋ツナ，チーズ＋卵）とインスタントカフェオレ．英国製のサンドイッチにトラウマがある（人生唯一「食べられない」サンドイッチを購入したのがロンドンのコンビニ）私だったが，ご夫君が試食して

というので食べてみた．一応，喉を通った．
吐く息が白いほど涼しい朝．あまり天気はよろしくない．例によって早く起きてしまった．朝食は昨日のLH機内で配られたサンドイッチ．ロンドン便だから…と期待していなかった（というかハナから食べたくなかった）のだが，案外喉を通るレベルのものだった．その後，ホテル周囲＝空港を散策してから7時半にホテルをチェックアウト．ここは毎年この時期はビーチバレーの大会（スポンサーはダイキン）の大会が開催されているようで，去年と同じように仮設のサンドコートとスタンドが作られていた．しかも3面も．
ミュンヘン空港8:55発フィレンツェ行きのLHに搭乗．チェックインは長蛇の列…と思いきや，SFCの特権を生かしてスピーディに済ませることができた．ルフトハンザのラウンジで追加の朝食をとった後，飛行機に搭乗してからは雄大なアルプスを越えて1時間半ほどでフィレンツェ到着．こちらは晴れていて，そこそこ暑い．
フィレンツェ空港ではまず車を借りる．空港の建物の並びにいくつかのレンタカー会社が並んでいて，そこで手続きしてそこで借りて乗っていくという簡単な形式．今回はランティスというハッチバックのコンパクトカーだった．一応オートマだということになっていたのが，クラッチなしながらギアチェンジはマニュアルにも変えられる形式．そのせいか，なんとなくクラッチのつなぎが微妙らしい．
車を出してさあどこに行こう？決めていなかったのだがあまり街中をうろうろするつもりもないので，まず10キロほど走って丘を登り，フィエゾーレへ．ここからは，フィレンツェの街を一望することができる．少し曇りがちだがいつもの美しい風景を楽しむことができた．
そして次はアルノ川を越えてミケランジェロの丘へ．こちらはいつものようにツアーも含めた観光客が多い．今度は反対方向からまたもやフィレンツェの街を一望．当然のことながらフィエゾーレよりも随分距離が近いので，その風景には迫力がある．何度来てもやはりフィレンツェの街はほとんど完璧なまでに美しい．
さて後は街中だが，フィレンツェはもうよく知っているので，お気に入りの場所だけを再訪することにした．まずはどこよりもお気に入りのサンマルコ修道院．近所に適当に車を停めて（イタリアの街中は路上に駐車スペースがたくさんあり，無料かパーキングチケットを切るところかは場所次第だが，とにかく便利である），フラ・アンジェリコの受胎告知と，修道士たちの部屋のフレスコ画を鑑賞．その後，お腹が空いたので近所のマクドでランチ．ゆったりランチを楽しむ時間がない日には，確実に時間が読めて（というよりも自分でコントロールできて）味に不安を感じる必要がないマクドはやはり便利だ．そのまますぐ先のサンタマリアデルフィオーレへ．相変わらずの大迫力と大観光客である．最近のツアー客は圧倒的に中国・韓国人が多く，日本人は小さなグループがちらほらくらいで全然目立たなくなっていた．日本人の海外脱出率はそう変わっていないはずだが，どこに消えたのか？ ドゥオモと鐘楼の周りを一周した後，またもや相変わらず行列しているアカデミア美術館の前を通過して車に戻り，フィレンツェに別れを告げて高速A1で一路ボローニャに向かった．
A1はイタリアのど真ん中を走るメインの高速道路だが，その割にはカーブが多く，振られまくる．途中サービスエリアでの休憩を挟みつつ1時間半ほどでボローニャ付近に到着．しかし，ボローニャに入った最初の出口で降りずに（大抵最初の出口は大きな街の切れっ端部分で，ここで降りてしまうと結局時間がかかってしまう），もう少し先で，と思ったらいきなり全然降りられない車線に進入してしまって焦る．このままボローニャを通過してしまったらどうしよう！と思ったが，なんとかボローニャの街の周りを半周ちょっとしたくらいでなんとか降りられた．
この時点で16時過ぎ．今日から3泊するアパートのチェックインは，担当者とアパートの前に18時待ち合わせということになっている．というわけで，アパートの場所を確認してから先に中心部を軽く観光することにした．アパートはボローニャの中心部を取り巻いてぐるっと一周できる環状道路から通り1つ離れたところにあり，便利（といっても歩いて中心部に行くのはちょっと距離があるが）で静かなところにあった．街の中心部には，教会と共和国宮殿と噴水，というイタリアの諸都市にお馴染みのモニュメント群がある．教会のファサードはヴァチカンの干渉にあって壮麗にできなかったらしく，ファサード上部に大理石が張られず裸のまま，という奇妙な外観をしていた．中に入りたかったのだが，リュックがノーだと言われたので断念．ネプチューンの噴水のあたりでうろうろし，アコーディオンを弾いているいかにもイタリア人っぽいおっちゃんなどを鑑賞しながら時間をつぶした．
18時ちょい前にアパート前に戻り，チェックイン．ちゃんと建物の玄関前に担当者の女性は待ってくれていた．まずは建物の玄関の鍵を開け，次にエレベータホールに入るための鍵を開け，エレベータに乗って5階にたどり着いてフラットのドアの前へ．ドアには厳重な檻，いや柵があるのでまずそれを開け，ようやく次にフラットのドアの鍵を，今度は2つ開けて室内へ．このセキュリティの厳しさはどうだ．フラットは100平米以上あるとのことで，リビングルーム，2ベッドルーム（主ダブル＋副シングル×2，キッチン，洗面スペース×2（バス，シャワー，トイレ2つ，洗濯機等々完備）の構成だった．各部屋にエアコンも完備．バカンスシーズンだけのレンタル，というところまでの既居住感はないが，コンドミニアムよりももうちょっと雑な雰囲気がする．しかしまあ広々していて使いやすそうだ．
一旦外に出て車を駐車場に入れ（一応駐車場のゲート入口はリモコンゲートなのだが，出口は開きっぱなし．あまりというか全然セキュリティの意味がない（笑），荷物を出してさあ再び部屋に入ろうとして，鍵にやられる．エレベータホールには入れたし，檻も開くのだが，どう頑張ってもドアの鍵が開かないのだ！かなりの順列組み合わせをすべて試した，という気がするのに開かない．これは困った，というわけで，もう一度担当者のお姉さんを携帯で呼び出して，ドアの開け方を再度伝授してもらう．携帯を持っていて＆担当者の携帯番号をメモしていて助かった！ お姉さんはしばらく電話でやりとりして埒があかないのが分かったようで，もう一度来てくれた．ドアの鍵が2つあるうち，メインの鍵は開いていたのだが，もう一つの（どちらかというと手の込んだ方の）鍵を開けられていなかったことが分かる．左に回して「引く」必要があるのに，私たちはドアをとにかく開けたいばかりにぐいぐい押すことしかしていなかったのだ．考えてみれば，ヨーロッパのホテルで「引かないと開かない」ところがあったような… とにかくお姉さんごめんなさい．やっと部屋に入ってひとごこち．
その後，今度は最低限水だけでも買いたい，と再び車で出かけてバールを探してさまよう（ちなみに部屋を出るとき5回くらい鍵開けリハーサルをやってから出かけた）．ぐるぐる環状道路を走ったあげく，ボローニャ駅前でようやく開いているバールを見つけて購入成功．日曜日はどんな店もほぼ完全クローズなのは相変わらずらしい．特にバカンスシーズンだからひどいのだろうか．当然スーパーも開いていないので食材購入は明日ということにして，ごはん＋インスタントみそ汁で夕食とする．その後は疲れ切って，食べたなり，バタンキュー．
